Remember that game on American Gladiators where the contestants got in those big balls and ran around.  Well, my family found these Nuclear Globes online and thought we would join in the fun.

Here's the idea:  First you inflate this 6 foot ball.  Then you climb inside through one of the two holes.  Then you run around on the water like a giant aqua-hampster.  Sounds simple and fun!

Well, it's not as easy as it looks.  The problem is that water splashes in through those same entry holes and makes things a bit slippery.  We played with two of the balls all weekend and nobody was really able to run around with any sort of control for any extended period of time (more than a few seconds).  That being said, these things are an absolute blast!  You can try to jump on top, tumble around inside with a partner, or just watch other people look like crazed idiots.  They aren't cheap, but they are super durable and will be the hit of any beach party - we had boats pulling up all weekend long to check out the fun.
